Maintenant, nous sommes tous Canadiens

Morning, mes enfants. It's day two of the BACS conference, and I'll be popping in and out. There's still work to do on my paper, but so many good things to attend. This morning's literature session is on multiculturalism and immigration, with presentations on failed integration narratives, M G Vassanji, who's new to me, Canadian drama and regional masculinity in Proulx and Johnston. I'm also looking forward to Danielle Fuller's 'Citizen Reader: Canadian Literature, Mass Reading Events and the Promise of Belonging', which draws on research into 'textual communities'.

Are you all gripped by election fever?
