Hello all. Slow start to the day - yesterday's admin marathon left me sluggish, lethargic and comatose.
I tried to buy new hiking socks today - I like Thousand Mile, but no success. Instead, I returned with three more maps - Yr Wyddfa, the Peak District and Harlech/Porthmadog and Y Bala. There's just something compelling about maps, and I'm determined to wean myself of Dan-dependence, just in case his burst of paid employment becomes a habit.
Neal and I watched a truly terrible film yesterday - Teen Wolf Too, which hasn't even humour to soften the edges. He thinks it's the worst film he's ever seen, but I'm not convinced that it's quite as bad as Howard the Duck, The Rocketeer, or (my candidate for worst ever film) Drop Dead Fred, though Peter's Friends must also be hovering around the bottom.
So the floor's open: what's your suggestion?

Honestly, you don't seem to have the first inkling of truly bad movies.
They're all very bad indeed - those that I've seen - but they don't seem hugely worse than those I mentioned. Why single out a particular Police Academy, by the way? Are some of them watchable?
Green Card was fairly diabolical- got taken on a date to see it at the cinema...it didn't last long.

I've not seen many truly dire films because you know, don't you, that Garfield the Movie (for instance) is going to be absolute shite? And so you don't go.
The only time I've come close to walking out of a cinema was watching A Life Less Ordinary. Another close call was Sylvester Stallone's Judge Dredd. Actually the worst film I've ever seen was his version of Get Carter. At first I couldn't tear my eyes away from the wanton desecration, but then I sat it out just for the satisfaction of seeing the lunk's brains blown out. Gah! What a rip off.
Howard the duck was a spectacular failure but at least they tried. Teen Wolf Too is just trying to turn a profit. That is an important difference. I haven't seen the Rocketeer or Peter's Friends.
Artog: you are bang on the money with A Life Less Ordinary, utter tripe. As for not watching films that you 'know' are going to be bad, I'm not so sure. I will give any film, record, book etc a chance, I have been pleasantly surprised on many an occasion.

I avoided Green Card as being just not my type of film. Can't remember why I haven't seen A Life Less Ordinary, and I deliberately avoid remakes of decent films on the basis that they were unnecessary - Get Carter is surely in that category, as must be the Cage remake of Wicker Man.
Judge Dredd was awful (like Tank Girl) because it took a great comic strip and stamped all over its face over and over again.
For me it's a straight fight between Sin City and this film. Ladies and gentleman, marvel at the magnificent shit-fest which is 12 Rounds:

And I'm a Cena mark, but not even I can defend it - for the final hour, the camera never actually stays still for a second and made me feel quite nauseous watching it. Shameful work.
